Guide to Buying Gifts For Zoe

I recently had some complaints that my web page suggesting possible gift ideas was no longer on the web. Therefore, for the sake of holiday stress reduction for all those who care to give me gifts, here is an updated gift suggestion list. I hope it is helpful!

1) Something thoughtful and personal that you are inspired to give me even though it is not on this list.

2) I still have an amazon.com wish list, which contains many ideas for books and CDs that I would like to have. I guarantee that if they are on the wish list, I don’t already have them, and I would love to get them.

3) If you would like to improve my wardrobe, I still suggest paying a visit to any Eddie Bauer store, selecting a random item, and purchasing it. By only doing that much, you will have at least a 60% chance of pleasing me (astounding odds, when it comes to buying clothes for me). If you want to improve your odds even more, you can spend a moment trying to envision me wearing the item, and if you manage to do it successfully, you will have raised your odds to at least 80%. That is about as good as your odds can get anywhere, but rest assured that even if I turn out not to like the item, I will have no trouble exchanging it for something I do like. Likewise, don’t worry about size... I can always exchange things that don’t fit.

4) I could use a good SMALL (think cooking for one) saucepan with a lid. I could also use a good bread knife.

5) I would really enjoy one or two thick, plush, luxurious bath towels. Color is not really important. My present bathroom has light bluish-green trim, but I don’t need my towels to match it. I like dark blues and reds, and would prefer a solid color rather than a pattern.

6) A set of USB speakers with a sub woofer to hook up to my mac.

7) Here are a few cello related things that I would like:
A) HANDBOOK FOR CELLO STUDENTS, MUSIC THEORY AND OTHER FACTS written by Phyllis Luckman
B) An electronic orchestral/chromatic tuner with “sound back” feature.
C) A rockstop would be handy.

8) Look around on e-bay for a 1970’s era Incredible Hulk board game with game board art that would look good framed. Try to make sure it still has all of the game pieces.
